Joyce Herzog

Joyce Herzog helped me realize what learning is like for a child. Joyce asked everyone to clean off our laps and gave us her business card. She then asked us not to do anything to the cards until all the instructions where given. Instruction #1 was to write on the back of the card the city and state (in cursive) we were in and today's date. The conference was being held at Olympia Resort & Conference Center which is located in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Instruction #2 was to place the business card on your forehead with the back facing out, now things are getting a little tough. The final instruction was to remember what your are thinking.

The exercise for me was not as challenging because I had already taught myself to write backwards in college. Try writing your name backwards and see how easy it is.

This was a little different because I could not even see what I was writing. Here is what the card looked like (never got a chance to write the date).
Oconomowoc Backwards

Three simple instructions, but it was not easy to accomplish. Here is something to remember.

An easy task for an 'expert' is very complex for a 'beginner'.
