FastStone
For a while I have been using Screenshot Captor but found a new program that I really like called FastStone Capture . There is two features that caught my eye: the vertical and horizontal lines when capturing only a region, and the real time zoom. There are more that I have not discover, but one other thing that is really cool is the ability to download a portal version which requires no install!! FastStone has some additional products that might be of interest. I am currently looking into FastStone Image Viewer and FastStone Photo Resizer .
Let me know if you have any other free screen capture programs.

Thanks Chad. I actually JUST re-imaged my computer yesterday and had been using Screenshot Captor but will try this now. It looks pretty promising.

Fastone Capture is a good program. As the author of Screenshot Captor i felt compelled to post and point out that SC can also be run from a thumbdrive etc without modification or special download (just unpack and put it where you want). Also i think it has the other features you are talking about though im not 100% clear what they mean
Anyway, not to try to convince you to use one program or another – use what you like best! But if you have feature requests for SC please do drop by our forum and let me know

Chad,
I use Gadwin’s Printscreen. I believe it’s still free, even if used comercially, so you can use it at work.
Anyway, It’s never given me any problems.
