It is a boy
On 12/3 at 10:34 Peter Elias Schelfhout was born weighing 9 lbs 12 oz. Both mom and Peter are doing great!!!!
Faith Night
Tonight my oldest son, Calvin, and I attended Faith Night and listened to Hawk Nelson . The event was put on by Third Coast Sports and was held at Fox Cities Stadium, home of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers . The concert was great and very entertaining, but Timber Rattlers lost. Calvin enjoyed himself and got to spend some time with dad, which I really enjoyed.
Weekend away & some biking
This weekend we went up "north" to my father-in-law's cabin in Mountain . Today we got to take some tire tubs down the Oconto Rivier , it was a 30 minute ride and very relaxing. Got a chance to go for a bike ride with the boys twice both lasting just over 2 miles. So no record times on the bike but a nice ride with the boys. We also started a 1000 piece puzzle last night and finished it this morning.
Home Fireworks of 2007
Bruce , can you please report in on how the GDFP is this year? I do believe that we missed the New Years Eve report also.
This year in Wisconsin the economy must be doing well again. As you can tell the board has expanded a little from last year .
Nickels
This weekend we spent some time with family, for a Sammie Madden's baby dedication. We also played nickels or 3-13 , a quick and easy game.
A Bike Rack
Here are some pictures of the bike rack that I made for my kids bikes. When you have 6 or 7 bikes allways laying in the garage it is time to do something. Not bad for under $20, using some existing wood that I had. If I would have purchased all the wood I am sure it would have been less than $30. Hopefully soon I will make some time to describe how we designed the bike racks.

Welcome Nathan Christopher
Congratulations to some close friends on the birth of there first son. Nathan Christopher was born on January 11th, 2007 at 10:27 PM. My wife and I would find Nathan 'premature' since our kids come into the world as toddlers. Nathan was 6lb, 14oz, 19.5 inches long with lots of hair.
Congrats Brandon & Allison
Five things you may not have known about me
Now I have been tagged, not once but twice.
- Wrestled for 5 years, 8th grade and through high school. I still have the shirt that reads:
boys play basketball
girls play volleyball
men wrestle - Collected baseball cards, and have way to many.
- Bought my first car when I was 16, '81 Pontiac Grand Prix. Paid cash!!! Maybe some pictures some day.
- I enjoy playing volleyball, which I have to do now. No, I am not a girl (see above)
- I really enjoy doing puzzles. The hardest one I have is a double sided 101 Dalmatians.
ow is the fun part, I get to tag some people: Ben, Craig, Johan, Chris, and Chris.
Josh’s first broken bone
Tonight we had to bring Joshua to the emergency room to get his shoulder checked out. It ended up to be just a broken collar bone. After 2.5 hours of waiting we got an X-ray and a figure 8 brace and a bill of a couple hundred dollars. We are back home and Josh is doing well. Thank you God for creating a body that can heal itself.
