I am back

I am back from a two week trip to Tennessee and South Carolina. The trip was uneventful, meaning we had no major problems to tell about. This is a good thing considering we are driving about 8 hours a day with 4 boys under 10 and a three month old. I just realized that we spent 1/3 of our days driving. Some people would ask if we are crazy, but we had a good time in the van as a family. Yes, I would do it again, but not for a couple of months!!! I have a couple of stories to share, but those will have to wait. I have some reading to do..Unread Bloglines

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHAD

Here is a birthday cake that I recieved from our very close friends.  This is par for the course for Linda, because I have seen a few of her creative cakes over the years.  What makes this even more impressive is she makes the time for this while still home schooling 5 children between 5 and 6.  Yes, between 5 and 6, they have quads!!!!  Thanks Linda. I have a daughter

It is hard to believe after 4 boys that we were blessed with a daughter.  WOW!  I have been caught with my family and spending time with them, but have not forgot about you.  I am still working on a few things, so hopefully soon you will see some updates.  I sound like a >broken record.

Enjoying the Family

My daughter, my only daughter, is 2 weeks old today.  Please hang in as we enjoy her, and as things slowly get back to normal, including this blog.  Hopefully I will be posting a little more regularly then.

Open Audit seems to be holding some ground at number 8 of the most active projects at openntf.org.  The next release will finally include support for Java!!  I just finished the web poll upgrade for BlogSphere and need to make the some additional changes for v3, so get your requests in now!

We won!!

We bid on a 2003 Chevrolet 2500 Express van last week and we won!!!  What is nice about this van is it is not white.  So it is the little things sometimes.  With a new baby we were considering upgrading our van but this just fell into place.  It is having a snow ball affect though.  I now have to sell my 2000 Chevrolet 2500 truck with only 30,000 miles on it.  We also need to raise our garage door, currently it is at 6"10′ and the van is over 7" tall.

Hi everyone!!!

Today was my first day in my new world and my dad asked me to introduce myself to everyone. My name is Carly Jo Schelfhout and my mother forced me into this world at 3:11 PM. It is much brighter and louder than what I am use to. :( I really like it though! My mommy and daddy have been very nice, they are always getting rid of that smell but I miss being wet and moist. My mommy wanted to make sure that I always had something to brag about to my brothers so she made me bigger!!! I was 10lb 3oz and my other brothers were 10lb 2oz and 10lb 1oz. The twins have a little disadvantage because they had to share mommy’s belly so they were 7lb 13oz and 8lb 4oz. I am also 22in long but don’t remember how long my brothers where. It does not really matter because I am the biggest!!!! I have not seen outside of our home yet because I was born where I was conceived, it is nice to be home. My mommy is awesome because she is feeding me and doing very well. Thanks daddy for everything so far. Thanks Calvin, Ezra, Josh, and Jared for welcoming me into your family. Almost forgot, thank you Jesus for creating me. Love, Carly

Home Fireworks of 2006

Yes, Bruce was correct the economy is doing good, but not great because we had to share the cost with another family.  This did allow us to get a few more fireworks and have it last a little longer.  There are 19 launchers below.  We loaded them 5 times and once with some roman candles(see last picture).  The last time we connected the fuses with the second picture for the grand finally.  The last picture was the after effects.

If you are looking for a couch (not DbCouch ) and in need of a bike check out this couch bike . via: hack a day .  If you are into history instead then try Microsoft’s Historical Monuments , sorry but I have not tried it yet.  How about photography or some sketches then check out G-Man and his journal .

I have also added a new album of our deck that I built in 2003, a little late.  My wife and I design the deck and I built it with the help of friends and family.  I used Trex and so far it has held up very nice, if can afford it.
